Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (the "Content Policy") applies to everyone who uses image.cooking. It is part of, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service. Where this policy and the Terms disagree about content, this policy controls.
It covers every form of content that moves through the Service:
- Prompts and any other text you submit.
- Reference images and any other files you upload.
- Images the Service generates for you.
- Anything you publish to the public wall.
- Content you send us by email, including reports and appeals.
A prompt is content. Submitting a prohibited prompt is a violation even when the model returns an image that looks acceptable.
Prohibited content
You may not use the Service to create, upload, request, or distribute the following:
- Sexual content of any kind, including nudity, semi-nudity, sexually suggestive imagery, pornography, and content presented as uncensored or for adults only.
- Content that sexualizes minors in any way, or that exploits or endangers children.
- Violent or graphic content, including gore, mutilation, cruelty to people or animals, and content that glorifies or instructs on causing harm.
- Hateful content, including content that demeans, dehumanizes, or incites hostility against people because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
- Content that promotes or facilitates terrorism, violent extremism, or the development of weapons of mass destruction.
- Deepfakes and impersonation, including non-consensual intimate imagery of a real person, and any realistic depiction of a real, identifiable person presented as genuine.
- Content that promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property, or that misappropriates a person's name, likeness, or privacy.
In addition, you may not use the Service to:
- Present AI output as human-made work in a context where that deception causes harm, or present it as professional legal, medical, or financial advice.
- Create content for harassment, stalking, defamation, fraud, phishing, or coordinated inauthentic activity.
- Attempt to bypass, disable, or talk your way around our content checks, including through jailbreak prompts, prompt injection, obfuscated spelling, or encoded text.
- Use the Service to build a competing model, or to scrape outputs at scale.
How we review content
We use a layered system: automated checks before generation, human review before public display, and periodic sampling after publication.
Automated checks. Before a generation starts, your prompt is sent to Waffo's content safety service (Prompt Sift) for a real-time safety decision. A prompt that is blocked or flagged for review does not generate, and Credits are not reserved for it. If the check cannot be completed, the request is declined rather than allowed through untested. The model providers we call apply their own safety filters on top of ours, and we keep those filters enabled.
Human review. Images submitted to the public wall are reviewed by a person before they appear publicly. A submission can be approved or rejected at that step, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Sampling. We review a sample of published content on an ongoing basis to measure how well the automated checks are working. Content that fails a later review is removed.
What happens when this policy is broken
Enforcement is graduated. We match the response to the severity and the history, and we keep a record of enforcement decisions.
- Warning. We tell you what broke the rules and what to change.
- Content removal. Generated images are deleted, and public wall submissions are rejected or withdrawn.
- Feature restriction. Access to generation, publishing, or both is limited for a period.
- Account suspension. Your account is suspended and generation stops.
- Permanent ban. Your account is closed.
- Referral to authorities. Where the law requires it or the content involves a serious crime, we report it and cooperate with law enforcement.
Credits are not a shield. When a generation is refused for a content violation, we are not required to return the Credits reserved for it, and Credits linked to a violation may be cleared. Credits carry no cash value and this policy is not a refund route.
The most serious violations, including content that sexualizes minors and content that promotes terrorism, result in immediate suspension and a report to the appropriate authorities, without a prior warning.
Reporting a problem
You can report content that you believe breaks this policy, including content that is not yours. Report:
- Anything you believe sexualizes a minor or endangers a child. Please report this even if you are unsure.
- Content that promotes terrorism or serious violence.
- A deepfake or an impersonation of a real person, or content that infringes your rights.
- Any other content or behaviour you believe breaks this policy.
Send reports to supportimagecooking. Tell us what you saw and where, and include a link or the image if you have one. You do not need an account to report.
We handle reports in confidence. We do not tell the person you reported who reported them. Deliberately false or abusive reports are recorded and may themselves be treated as a violation.
How long we take
We aim to respond to reports within these windows, measured from when your email reaches our inbox. Say in the subject line what the report is about, so the ones that need speed are easy to pick out.
- Anything involving a child, or a credible threat to life or safety: within 24 hours.
- Terrorism, serious violence, or non-consensual intimate imagery: within 72 hours.
- Other policy violations: within 7 business days.
If a report needs longer, we tell the reporter that we need more time and why. If we act, we tell the reporter what we did, within the limits of what we can share.
Appeals
If we removed your content, restricted your account, or suspended you, you can appeal.
- Email supportimagecooking within 30 days, and say which decision you are appealing and why.
- An appeal is reviewed by someone who was not involved in the original decision.
- We aim to decide appeals within 10 business days and will tell you the outcome and the reasons.
Appeals do not apply to content that sexualizes minors or that promotes terrorism. Those decisions are final.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our models, features, and the law change. The effective date at the top of this page changes when we do, and we tell account holders by email about material changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
