Summary
Credits are a generation meter, not cash. A completed generation consumes the quoted Credits. A failed generation often returns the reservation, but some failures still consume Credits. Deleting an image does not restore Credits.
Paid checkout for kitchens and top-up packs charges your card only after you finish payment. This policy explains Credits returns for generations, and the rules for purchased Credits.
How a purchase is charged
Choosing a kitchen opens secure checkout in a new tab. No card is charged until you finish payment. Starter Credits issued to new accounts are promotional, have no cash value, and are not redeemable for money.
How Credits move
- Before you generate, Create shows the integer Credits cost for the current model and settings.
- When generation starts, that amount is reserved from your available balance.
- If generation completes and outputs are stored, the reservation is consumed. That consumption is final for that request.
- If generation fails or is cancelled, the reservation is often returned automatically. When it is returned, you will not see a separate "refund" line. The spend item is removed.
- Some failed generations still consume Credits. Provider invocation, safety or policy rejection after submission, and similar cases may keep the charge. A failed result is not by itself a right to restored Credits.
Completed work is not reversed
We do not restore Credits because you dislike the aesthetic of a completed image, because you used a different prompt than you intended, or because you delete the image from My Creations. Deletion removes the work from your library and, where available, deletes the stored output files. It does not reverse a completed Credits charge.
If the Service delivers a completed generation that is corrupt or cannot be opened due to a platform storage error, email us. We may, at our discretion, re-deliver the file or restore Credits. That courtesy is not an admission of liability.
Purchased Credits
When you buy Credits, a kitchen, or a top-up pack, the following rules apply unless a mandatory consumer law requires otherwise:
- Purchased Credits are generally non-refundable once the purchase is complete.
- A kitchen adds its monthly Credit allowance when the period starts. Unused Credits from the previous kitchen month are removed when the next month's allowance arrives. Credits that were not part of a kitchen stay until a generation spends them. Canceling renewal stops the next charge. The kitchen you already paid for continues until that period ends.
- A duplicate charge or a purchase you did not authorize can be reviewed. If we confirm an error, we will reverse the charge or restore Credits.
- Where a cooling-off period applies by law (for example certain consumer purchases in the European Economic Area) we will honor that period for unused purchased Credits, minus any Credits already consumed.
- Chargebacks opened in bad faith after you have used Credits may result in account suspension for the disputed amount.
How to ask for a review
Email from the address on your account. Include the approximate time of the generation or purchase, and what went wrong. We may ask for a generation identifier if you have one. We aim to respond within 10 business days.
Do not send payment card numbers by email. We will never ask for your password.
Changes
We may update this Refund Policy when billing, Credits, or deletion behavior changes. The effective date on this page is the current version.
