Every generation spends Credits. The price depends on the model and your settings, such as resolution, output count, and whether you use a reference image. Create shows the exact price before you start, and a run only begins if your balance can cover it. Signing up with Google includes starter Credits. Email sign-up does not. Paid Kitchen plans add monthly Credits. See Pricing.
Tips for better AI image prompts
- Name the subject, the style, and the mood.
- Describe the composition: the crop, the camera angle, and the aspect ratio.
- Describe the light: the time of day, the studio setup, or the color palette.
- If the image should contain text, put the exact words in quotes and say where they sit. Check the spelling on longer phrases.
- Look at a smaller size first. Move up to 2K or 4K once the composition is right.
- Run the same prompt on two models, compare, then refine the one you prefer.

Credits are the unit image.cooking uses to measure generation costs. Create shows the exact Credit price for the model and settings you have selected before you start.
Yes. Images generated while a paid kitchen is in force include commercial use, including through the end of a period you already paid for. That permission stays with those images after the kitchen ends, subject to our Terms. Images generated with starter Credits, or while no paid kitchen is in force, are for personal, non-commercial use. See Pricing.
